Every beer consists of a mix of malted barley, hops, yeast, and water, but it's how and when you put it together that makes the difference. There's nothing artificial about the Hobgoblin brand and there's certainly nothing artificial in our recipes. Wychwood Brewery beers are all-natural products, using the same ingredients that have been used for centuries to brew beer.
HOBGOBLIN RUBY
Drink legendary. This distinct ruby beer’s sweet caramel and fruity aromas tease the taste buds. Brewed with smooth and rich Chocolate and Crystal malts & a blend of Fuggles and Styrian Golding hops. A solid gold legend. The combination of four hop varieties infused with malted barley and a touch of wheat give this easy drinking golden beer tropical aromas of citrus and passion fruit. KING GOBLIN
This deep ruby coloured true King of Beers delivers aromas of treacle toffee and dried fruits. Brewed with a blend of the finest Crystal and Chocolate malts and the addition of Sovereign hops. Packed full of sweet caramel, coffee and earthy roasted malt flavours for a warming seal of approval.

Since Shipyard Brewing Co. and Ringwood Brewery (Marston's Family) have been collaborating on beers, Shipyard continue to brew Ringwood Beers.
Since Ringwood joined the Marston’s Beer Co family in 2007, the relationship has developed further with Shipyard with the launch of the first permanently available Shipyard American Pale Ale in May 2013.

GREENE KING BREWERY

Greene King has been brewing quality cask ales at the Westgate Brewery in Bury St Edmunds for over 200 years. There has been a brewery on our site since 1700, but brewing in the town can be traced back as far as the days of the Doomsday book in 1086.
Our Victorian brewhouse built in 1938 continues to brew all our beers using gravity to pass the ingredients from one floor to the next. All our beer is brewed using natural ingredients and traditional brewing methods.
OLD SPECKLED HEN
A high proportion of Crystal malt in Old Speckled Hen provides the key toffee/caramel flavour. The yeast used to ferment the beer provides the other key character - estery or banana/pear drop. This estery note provides the fruity and refreshing balance. The hops used add a palate cleansing herbal note and very slight orange citrus. A very malty, full bodied and warming ale.

Warming, Malty and Fruity. Pale and amber malts contribute to a mouth filling and satisfying 'Horlicks' and biscuity maltiness. Challenger and First Gold give a base note of herbal hop and Fuggles as a late hop contributes the main fragrant fruity and floral and spicy notes. Fermented slowly to give just enough fruity esters Abbot Ale provides a complex, satisfying and warming experience.

Fresh dry hop, herbal character is provided by the mix of challenger and first gold hops. The use of crystal malt in the grist gives a satisfying toffee/caramel note and the addition of a little black malt adds just enough astringency to give a clean dry finish.

The Challenger hops offer bitterness and fresh dry hop herbal character. Cascade hops adds refreshing pink grapefruit and a floral note and Hersbrucker adds more floral and a touch of spicy and fruity hop. A biscuity malt sweetness balances the robust bitterness.
